Rules
For the uninitiated, Aussie Rules might seem like a difficult sport to get into, however, in reality, it couldn't be simpler.
At the professional level, AFL is played with an oval ball (commonly called a Sherrin) on an oval-shaped field between two teams of 18 players. A combination of football and rugby, the main aim of the game is to kick the ball through the two tallest goalposts which are set at either end of the ground.
Is that enough to pique your interest? If you want a complete overview, with some handy videos to boot, check out AFL Europe's full guide to Aussie Rules here.
