Shipwrights Arms Hotel

The Shipwrights Arms Hotel, or as the locals know it – “Shippies”, is located in the historic village of Battery Point, Hobart. Established in 1846, Shippies is proud to remain a traditional old-school pub with a modern restaurant recently renovated. Roll forward to today, there is an atmosphere that is so welcoming locals and tourists alike keep on walking through the blue door, soaking up the hospitality and enjoying the wonderful memorabilia that hangs from the walls. Tasmanian’s are spoilt for choice with wonderful local produce. Shippies has a contemporary menu specialising in serving quality, ever-changing seafood purchased daily from our local fish suppliers. Shippies offers a comfortable and relaxed modern dining experience that includes table service, four fire places for the winter months, counter meals and the historic bar is stocked with local beers on tap, an extensive wine selection, popular local spirits and Tasmanian ciders.
